Age of Empires 4 Cheat Codes: Every AoE IV Cheat and How to Use It
Age of Empires 4 was the first game in the series to launch without cheats. That was still the case when we first wrote this page: the game didn't have a single cheat code. Cheats were added with the Season Three update (Update 24916) that came with the Anniversary Edition. Now, just like in the older games, you press Enter and type the code.
How do you enable cheats?
Cheats don't work everywhere. You can use them in custom games and in Skirmish matches against the AI, and some codes also work in campaigns. To use cheats, you have to turn on the option that allows them in the lobby's game settings before the match starts.
During the match, press Enter, type the code into the box that opens and press Enter again. Capitalization doesn't matter. Units spawned with a cheat appear next to your main Town Center.
You can't earn achievements or masteries in a match where you've used cheats. Also, when a cheat is entered, a notification appears in chat and it's marked on the match timeline, so there's no way to use them secretly while playing with friends.
Resource cheats
Work in campaigns, Skirmish and custom games.

Cheats for selected units and buildings
These codes apply to whatever units or buildings are selected at that moment, so make your selection first.

The last code is a little nostalgia for veteran players. If you want to hear that familiar AoE II alert in AoE 4, give it a try.
