Where do the suggestions come from?
Every unit’s in-game description says what it is strong and weak against (for the Knight: “Weak vs. Spearman-line, Camel Riders, and Monks”). The tool reads these official descriptions and lists the unit types the enemy unit is weak against that your civilization has in that age. Your units whose own description says they are strong against the enemy’s type appear under “These also work”, and units the enemy is strong against under “Don’t attack with these”. We did not write any of the matchups by hand.
Bonus damage and hit counts on the cards are calculated from unit stats, assuming both sides have the Blacksmith upgrades of that age (where their tech tree allows). Civilization bonuses, unique technologies, University and Archery Range upgrades, range and micro are not included, so the numbers show how hard the two units hit each other, not who wins a game. For all differences between civilizations see the civilization comparison.
Ships are not in the tool yet; land units only.
