Age of Empires 3 Cheat Codes
Age of Empires 3's cheat codes are different from the rest of the series: most aren't single words but full sentences. The same codes work in the Definitive Edition, and expansions and DLCs added new ones. We've collected all of them with what they do.
How do you enter cheats?
During a match, press Enter, type the code into the chat box that opens and press Enter again. Capitalization doesn't matter.
In the Definitive Edition, you can't earn achievements or medals in a session where you've entered a cheat. The only exception is tuck tuck tuck: it doesn't block achievements outside the Art of War missions, and it even has an achievement of its own.
Resource cheats

| Nova & Orion | Gives 10,000 experience points (XP). |
| a recent study indicated that 100% of herdables are obese | Fattens every animal on the map, so they give more food. It helps your opponents too. |
Map and speed cheats

| speed always wins | Makes construction, research, shipments and gathering 100 times faster for everyone. Type it again to turn it off. |
| this is too hard | Skips to the next scenario in a campaign. |

| don't kick the pitbull | Spawns the Learicorn. |
| we <3 fluffy!1! | Spawns Fluffy. |
| wuv woo vol.2 | Spawns the Flying Purple Tapir. |
| trojan cow | Spawns a wooden cow (Wood Cattle). |
| safari | Adds 12 random huntable animals to the map. |
| red pocket | Starts a lion dance parade at your Town Center that gives you resources as a gift. |
Cheats that change the game

| cowhax | Turns every living unit on the map into a cow. |
| all your base are belong to us 1 … 8 | You take control of the player whose number you type. Type 0 to control nature's (Gaia's) units. To get back to your own units, type the code again with your own number. If you switch to a player who has been eliminated, the match ends instantly. |
| sooo good | A funny message appears on screen when a unit or building is destroyed. For example, when a Fusilier kills the purple player's villager, "Fusilier'ed!" appears in purple. |
The Asian Dynasties codes
These codes came with The Asian Dynasties expansion.

Codes added to the Definitive Edition
These codes were added to the Definitive Edition later. The first three came with The African Royals DLC; venividivinci, feeling whelmed now? and mercator came with the Knights of the Mediterranean DLC. The rest were first handed out in in-game events and then opened to everyone with update 13.58326.

| honey badger don't give a | Spawns a Honey Badger. |
| the king of all beasts | Spawns two Guardian Lions. |
| Granny Nanny | Turns all your villagers into Dahomey Amazons. |
| Release the hounds | Turns every unit into a wolf. |
| I don't exist | Spawns a penguin. |
| Flying Dutchman | Lets every naval unit travel on land. |
