Age of Empires 2: The Age of Kings Cheat Codes
Age of Empires 2: The Age of Kings shipped with 16 cheat codes when it came out in 1999. All of them still work in later versions. If you have The Conquerors expansion installed, there are two more codes; see our The Conquerors cheat codes page for those. If you play the Definitive Edition, the list is much longer: Age of Empires 2 Definitive Edition cheat codes.
How do you enter cheats?
During a match, press Enter, type the code and press Enter again. Capitalization doesn't matter.
Cheat units appear next to your Town Center. If you don't have a Town Center, the unit won't appear even if you typed the code correctly.
